4 years ago, when I decided to leave teaching to start managing my own nursery, I knew I had the opportunity to provide the children with the very best start in their lives. I knew I had a lot of skills which I could utilise for the benefit of the children. Working alongside parents, carers and an amazing team, I had the chance to make Yewlands into a very special place! Not only did I want the nursery to provide a real home from home, I now had the opportunity to work with staff who love to follow the interests of the children in our care. I am passionate about children spending time outdoors and Yewlands gave me the chance to make that possible as it has incredible outdoor spaces. Leading at Yewlands has made me want to continue to strive to continually improve as an individual and as team.

In my spare time, I like to read scary books, crochet and spend time with my family.

I have worked as a nursery practitioner for 19 years now, having worked as a practitioner and in leadership positions. This has led to my own hopes and aspirations of one day leading a setting myself. Managing alongside Michelle is the most fun and together we achieve amazing things for our Yewlands family.

I have two children of my own which drives my passion to strive for outstanding parent partnerships as I feel I can relate in many ways. In my spare time I enjoy long walks with my family and going on adventures!

When Michelle decided to start managing Yewlands, we worked together to make our nursery into a real family business! I look after invoicing and paperwork in the nursery.

I am level 3 and currently working towards my level 5 in Early Years Leadership. I have 12 years experience working in a nursery setting, 7 of which have been based in the baby room.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, socialising and going on long walks. I also love to spend quality time with my family making our forever memories.

I have worked in nurseries for 9 years and I love setting up different activities for the babies and leading circle time with them. In my spare time, I enjoy reading books, going on long walks with my family, and making special memories on holidays.

I have worked in nursery settings for 5 years and I am qualified to Level 6 with a degree in Early Childhood Studies. In my free time, I enjoy socialising with friends and family and going to the gym.

I have worked in nursery settings for 7 years, working in both baby and preschool rooms. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my two grown-up sons and my husband. We love to go for family meals and go on holiday. I also really love watching reality TV.

I am a Level 2 nursery practitioner and am working towards my Level 3 qualification.

I love to spend my spare time with my horse and other pets as well as socialising with my friends and family.

I have recently completed my level 3 apprenticeship at Yewlands Day Nursery and now am part of the baby room team. In my free time I love trying out new exercises at the gym. I also love going for calm relaxing walks whilst listening to my favourite music, and I absolutely adore shopping.

I'm Anya and I work in the preschool room. I am level 2 qualified and am working towards my level 3. I enjoy taking care of my nieces and nephews and spending time with them. I also love to take my 2 chihuahuas out on walks.

I have worked in child care for 14 years, and most of my experience has been based in the toddler room. I love watching the children achieve goals and milestones and I am extremely proud when they do.

In my spare time, I spend time with my nieces, nephews, and wife and I love to go on family dog walks. We also love movie nights and games nights at home.

I'm Ellie and I work throughout Yewlands Nursery as an apprentice. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my mum and with my dog. I also love being outside and going on lots of walks.

I am a level 3 qualified practitioner and I really enjoy doing creative with the children. When at home, I really enjoy listening to music and reading books, I like going to the cinema and going to new restaurants to try new food and a Friday night in bingo.

I am an apprentice in the toddler room. I am currently working towards my level 2, then progress to my level 3. My future dream career is to become a SENCO at the nursery. I enjoy going to football, painting and spending time with my pets.

I have worked in a nursery setting for 24 years. I love working in the pre-school room and providing lots of exciting activities for the children! I love spending time with my 3 children and I also make sweet trees in my spare time.

I have worked in childcare for 16 years. which until August 2020 was in the same setting when I decided I wanted a new challenge. I have always loved working with children and enjoy my job very much. I love to see the children have fun whilst at nursery. My favorite activities are music time, singing nursery rhymes and playing with musical instruments. I also have my very own guitar that I play during music time.
